Chef Greg Reyner: From Passion to Café Muse

Chef Greg Reyner’s lifelong passion for cooking began in childhood and led him to the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago in 1999. After running TriBeCa Catering, he achieved his dream in 2006 by opening Café Muse in Royal Oak with partner David Smith. Known for its simple European-style menu using fresh, local ingredients, Café Muse gained national attention in 2008 when Esquire named its grilled cheese among “America’s best,” leading to an Oprah appearance.
